The Importance Of Content Creation & How I Do It!
A step to take, a journey to gain

Before I posted my first article, my only thought about posting was:
“I am scared as hell to post it.”
It would mean that I would expose my own thoughts and opinions to the world.
I was scared of:
What people would think
Being judged
Doing it wrong
Making a fool out of myself
I was scared of those three things, especially in the case of my two brothers and parents.
They always have a strong opinion about everything.
That was only with the article. The step to make a YouTube video was even bigger. It shows:
Your face
The way you talk
The way you act
The way you edit it
It was all scary.
The irony now is that I think making content is fun to do.
People will always have opinions that will not change, so ignore those opinions and do what you want.
Nobody is perfect.
Why I Make Content
The easiest answer to give is to share and fulfill my mission:
"Help as many people as possible to express themselves."
If I do not reach people, I cannot help them.
What I want to do with the content I share is provide value.
Also, it is fun to do.
I like creating; it is what I've been doing all my life, and it is my form of expression.
A funny thing about that is since I posted content on Instagram, I have lost more followers than I have gained.

If you understand what I am about with the mission I have, there is much more to come.
I share the things I learn to provide value from my experiences and readings.
As time passes, I read and learn more, so I will have more to share.
So, more to give.

5 Reasons Why Making Content Is Good
1). People can trust you more and get the feeling of knowing you a bit if it is something you are:
Selling
Doing
Creating
You need people and if they know you and know what you're about.
You build trust and the feeling that they know you without ever meeting you.
2). If you post content, you create your personal branding.
That is because people know about you and what you're about.
3). Creating content or a piece of writing is a good way to organize your thoughts and processes.
When you write things down, you have to make them concrete.
Otherwise, you or your audience will not understand what you're saying.
If things become more concrete, it makes more sense, and humans are sense-makers.
4). Content improves your communication skills;
“You learn to communicate your message to someone else.”
5). Content also makes you think more creative.
You need to find a way for the audience to understand what you're saying.
How to Make Content
You can make contact by writing, making videos, or doing a podcast.
The objectives are always the same: hook, keep, reward.
Hook the right audience with proper topics, headlines, and formatting.
Keep them with lists, steps, and stories to get them curious and wanting more.
Please with the reason the content hooked them to begin with.
But what do I need to tell them?
Easy, tell your story and make it the things you wanted to hear.
You are making it for your past, present, and future self.
Make content about the things that interest you and inspire you.
Take inspiration from people you look up to and make it your own.

And if you have something that inspires or interests you.
Choose your format (podcast, video, writing)
Outline a simple hook, keep, reward.

Content Roadmap
What works for me is long-form content in article form, like what you are reading now.
As a baseline for all my content, an article is a piece of content that you need to think through.
You need to do research and make sense of everything.
For my YouTube videos, I make them based on the article I wrote.
You can also turn the article into tweets or LinkedIn posts.
The YouTube video and tweets you can turn into short-form video content.

What to Do Now
What we now know is pretty easy!
I create content to share my mission, and I enjoy doing it.
5 Reasons why it is good to create content:
Building trust
Personal branding
Organizing your thoughts and processes.
Improving your communication skills
Is making you think more creative
Now we know the basics of creating content.
We have a smart way of organizing content through reusing everything you make.
What you can do now is:
Start writing down your thoughts, not to post them but to get them out of your head.
What you do with it is up to you, but at least you have some more clarity.
It can always come in handy to have peace of mind on paper.
